There are four (4) positions available
Hours: 10 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Program Dates: September 11, 2017 – June 1, 2018
|Essential Duties and Responsibilities:|
Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children ages 6-12. After school programs consist of approximately 30-50 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include arts and crafts, group games/ competitions, sports, and songs.
|Education, Experience and Other Requirements:|
Must be at least 16 years of age; must possess a valid CPR and Standard First Aid Card by start date or have the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of job acceptance; applicants are subject to Washington State Patrol criminal history background check.
One (1) year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for children between 6-12 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
