There are two (2) positions available
Hours: 10 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Program runs from September 11, 2017 through May 31, 2018
|Essential Duties and Responsibilities:|
|Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for elementary and middle school age students. After school programs consist of approximately 20-35 participants and 3 staff members. Ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in teaching soccer skills and coaching teens in game play. Must work well with teens in a fast-paced environment.|
|Education, Experience and Other Requirements:|
Must be at least 17 years of age; must possess a valid CPR and Standard First Aid Card by start date or have the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of job acceptance. Applicants are subject to Washington State Patrol criminal history background check.
One (1) year or more of experience working with youth and teens in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age-appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for ages 11-14 years; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
