HOURS: 8-15 hours a week from Jan 13th - March 9th 
HOURLY RATE: $19.25-20.25   

Description:

As a gym supervisor, your responsibilities revolve around maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for not only our Kent Parks Youth Basketball participants, but also our Youth Basketball Officials. Gym Supervisors should always be the first ones to arrive and last to leave at their gym location. Responsibilities include being the first person on site to prepare facility and ensure officials arrive on time. Patrol gyms as well as enforce strict no food or beverage policy. Fully comprehend league rules and be available to settle any rule disputes.  

Working Conditions: 

Work is performed in a field environment; may be exposed to individuals who are difficult.? The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Stand and sit for long, extended periods of time. 

Temporary employees with the City of Kent do not receive insurance or time off benefits outside of those which are legally mandated. In certain instances, temporary employees may be eligible for retirement benefits through the State of Washington’s Department of Retirement Systems.
