KENT PARKS TEEN CENTER LEADER
(4 positions available)
Hours: 12-25 hours per week (depending on days worked)
Tuesday-Thursday- 4:30pm-9pm
Fridays -4:30pm-9:45pm
Saturday -5:30pm-9:45pm
Hourly rate: $16.00-20.00 per hour depending on experience
These positions are open until filled.
Duties: Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Teen Recreation Leaders/Gym Supervisors help lead and oversee various programs that run within the Kent Parks Community Center Late Night program for teens. Late night consists of 100-150 teens daily, 7th grade - 12th grade and 5-6 staff members.
Activities to be supervised include: full-court basketball, soccer, breakdancing, music studio production, various game room activities and special events.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. Applicants are subject to a position-related background check.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year or more of experience working with teens in recreation, teaching or community center environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for teens between 7th grade - 12th grade; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
