- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Recreation Leaders help lead and supervise various programs that run within the Kent Parks Recreation Teen Center Late Night program. Activities include full-court basketball, soccer, break dancing, music studio production, various game room activities and more. The late night program serves 100-150 teen participants on a nightly basis and is open 6 days a week. You will be working with 5-6 other staff members to supervise, mentor and/or run other programs.
- Education, Experience and Other Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age; possess a valid CPR and Standard First Aid Card by start date or have the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of job acceptance; and a valid Washington State driver's license. Applicants are subject to Washington State background check.Preferred Qualifications:
One year or more of experience working with teens in recreation, teaching or community center environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, helping with events and other large group activities for teens in 7th-12th grade; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
Pay: $14 to $14.50/hour
$14.00 - $14.50 Hourly
