There are three (3) positions available

Hours:       5 hours per week
                   Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Program runs from September 17, 2019 through June 4, 2020

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for middle school age students.  After school programs consist of approximately 20-30 participants and 3 staff members.  Ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in teaching soccer skills, coaching teens in game play and/or healthy cooking. Must work well with teens in a fast-paced environment.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 17 years of age; possess a valid CPR and Standard First Aid Card by start date or have the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of job acceptance. Applicants are subject to Washington State background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year or more of experience working with youth and teens in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for youth ages 11-14 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics:  responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
