Hours:               

4.5 hours per week 

Fridays -5:00-9:30 pm

Four (4) positions available

Salary:               $16.00-20.00 per hour depending on experience

Open:                 July 23, 2021

Closes:               Until filled

Program Dates:  September 24, 2021 - June 3, 2022

Duties:      

Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Teen Recreation Leaders plan, organize and supervise a broad spectrum of recreational activities; planning, organizing and actively participating in activities such as sports, arts, crafts, games, life skills and special events with middle school youth; be a positive role model to youth and teens.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must be at least 18 years of age.  Prefer some courses in education, music, recreation, or related field; have experience working with teens from a wide range of cultural and economic backgrounds.  Applicants are subject to a position-relevant background check.

Preferred Qualifications: 

One (1) year or more of experience working with teens in recreation, teaching or late night environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for teens between 12-15 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
