Adaptive Recreation Studio 315

(2 Positions Available)

Hours:                 

3 hours per week

Friday 6:15 pm-9:15 pm  

                           

Salary:                $16.00 per hour

Duties:  

Under the direction of the Adaptive and Youth/Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, help plan, lead, and run weekly social activities for participants ages 13 - 100 with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:     

Must be at least 18 years of age; Applicants are subject to a position relevant background check.  Other requirements include three personal and/or work references.

Preferred Qualifications: 

One (1) year or more of experience working with youth and adults with disabilities in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate social activities for participants between 15-100 years old with developmental and/or physical disabilities; Ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful. Be able to plan and implement weekly themed activities for groups of 80 or more.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a community center/indoor facility with a large volume of customers, noisy environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
