Hours: 8.5-10 hours per weekMonday, Tuesday, Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday from 1:00-5:00 p.m.Program runs September 9, 2019 - May 29, 2020
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Youth and Teen Manager and Program Coordinator, Youth Leaders plan, organize and lead daily activities for children ages 6-14. After school programs consist of approximately 25-40 participants and 3 staff members. Activities include exercise, group games/competitions, sports, and nutrition.
- Education, Experience and Other Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age; must possess a valid CPR and Standard First Aid Card by start date or have the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of job acceptance. Applicants are subject to Washington State Patrol criminal history background check.Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year or more of experience working with children in recreation, teaching or day camp environment; knowledge of age appropriate athletic and social activities, crafts and other large group activities for ages 6-14 years old; ability to live by Kent Parks mission of "Dedicated to Enriching Lives" and demonstrate the following characteristics: responsible, respectful, honest, energetic, passionate, flexible, original, creative, dependable, thoughtful.
Pay: up to $12.50/hour
